Camp Friendship Youth Programs

Spring/Summer 2025 Registration Is Closed

Check back here later for Fall 2025 registration

Camp Friendship was founded five decades ago with the mission of providing  programming for underserved youth in the neighborhood. After a hiatus we have brought this type of programming back and are offering Saturday afternoon (from 2pm to 5pm) activities. We work with young people from diverse backgrounds — including those navigating housing instability, children of immigrants, and students from nearby public schools — helping them build confidence, skills, and strong connections in our community. Our weekly meetings engage children in sports, arts & crafts, and academic tutoring. Camp Friendship youth program aims to build self esteem, promote physical fitness, encourage creative expression, and support academic achievement.

Our long-standing baseball program still thrives under new leadership, and our team of high school-aged players competes in the Prospect Park Baseball Association.

Arts

A robust arts & crafts program led by Emily Duda, a certified art therapist, encourages creative personal expression and an outlet for budding artists and beginners alike.

Indoor Sports

Our indoor sports program, alternating between soccer and basketball, is a supportive and joyful experience. We emphasize building skills & strength while learning the discipline of team cooperation and physical fitness.

Tutoring

Our resident math and reading tutor, Judy Becker, has been part of the Camp Friendship family for over 40 years. She has been tutoring children in the neighborhood for 25 years.

Baseball

Camp Friendship Baseball is a part of the Prospect Park Baseball Association. For 2025 we are fielding baseball teams in the Grasshopper and Freshman divisions. All of the game times and locations are dependent on the Prospect Park Baseball Association. http://ppba.info/
